On a 1971 E-Type V12 Series 3 Roadster, where is the turn signal flasher located? My turn signal doesnÔÇÖt work. ItÔÇÖs either the flasher or the turn signal switch.

Thank you,
Miklos

For what it's worth, this is a serviceable part, and I doubt that the Jaguar designers would bury the flasher unit way up near the top of the instr. panel. Sounds like you have done so already, but you need to remove the panels under the steering wheel. Might also be over on the passenger side? Pretty hard to miss this unit as it is usually a big shiny can. Do you not have a service manual for this car?

Where are all of the Series 3 guys on this forum? You might try the forum at Jag Lovers . Org

Yes, the hazard switch and flasher work. Interestingly, the ticking from the hazard flasher is coming from the passenger foot well. IÔÇÖm unable to trace the wire from the hazard switch, which feeds the turn signal flasher because it becomes part of the wrapped wire harness.

I opened the area immediately to the left of the turn signal switch (under the left pillar) and all I see is the 5 wires from the switch going into a harness connector then joining other wires as part of a large wrapped harness going up and behind the tachometer.
