On a 1971 E-Type V12 Series 3 Roadster, where is the turn signal flasher located? My turn signal doesnÔÇÖt work. ItÔÇÖs either the flasher or the turn signal switch.
Thank you,
Miklos

Yes, both units are on the right ( starboard) side under the black underdash cover as explained above, the turn signal unit is the smaller one.

It is located on the right side. Shop manual says to remove the drive screws from the right side under scuttle casing. Both the turn signal and emergency flasher relays are located there. Hope this helps

If your car is stock turn on the hazzards and go to the unit beside the working hazzard can--that is it

For what it's worth, this is a serviceable part, and I doubt that the Jaguar designers would bury the flasher unit way up near the top of the instr. panel. Sounds like you have done so already, but you need to remove the panels under the steering wheel. Might also be over on the passenger side? Pretty hard to miss this unit as it is usually a big shiny can. Do you not have a service manual for this car?
Where are all of the Series 3 guys on this forum? You might try the forum at Jag Lovers . Org

If someone has a car like this with a working turn signal, where is the ticking noise coming from?

Yes, the hazard switch and flasher work. Interestingly, the ticking from the hazard flasher is coming from the passenger foot well. IÔÇÖm unable to trace the wire from the hazard switch, which feeds the turn signal flasher because it becomes part of the wrapped wire harness.
I opened the area immediately to the left of the turn signal switch (under the left pillar) and all I see is the 5 wires from the switch going into a harness connector then joining other wires as part of a large wrapped harness going up and behind the tachometer.

Do the hazards work. I initially thought the unit was on the left side of the firewall near the top, NOT the one lower down under the ledge, but something keps telling me it is under the left side of the dash near the left pillar. !!
