I'm try to get my '66 3.8S running for hte first time in 10 years. Among the many issue is that the brake fluid keeps disappearing from the plastic fluid bottle, especially when I pump the pedal until it gets hard, but I don't know where it's going. It's not inside the car in the driver's compartment under the master cylinder, at and wheels, lines, connections or anywhere else that's visible. There are puddles of fluid on the floor under the car or wetness anywhere else under the car that I can see (I have a lift so its easy to look).

Of course the good news is that, despite a quart or so of missing fluid, none of it seems to have found its way to removing any paint! Is the fluid going into the servo or vacuum reservoir?

Yes--if you do not find a leak it is going into the vac res. can. When It is full you will start to see white smoke out the rear as the engine burns the brake fluid! Your booster needs a rebuild or replacement. I used to rebuild the boosters in sedans but SNG Barratt offers a great replacement for less than a rebuild kit and effort. By the way you will need to remove and drain the vac. tank! Good Luck!
