Greetings all:
I find myself in the amusing position of determining what is an original radio in my MK 10. I have had discussions with several members in my home chapter so far no one has positively identified the AM FM Blaupunkt that looks just great sitting in the consol. (as if it grew there by itself).
Anyway if anyone can confirm this to be original If any one can confirm it to be un-original but it does look so good sitting there!
So there you have it, anyone care to weigh in?
Duane Grady.

Mark 10 Radio.
hi Duane
I had a 66 mk 10 that was all original ( I was the second owner). It had a Blaupunkt LW/MW/KW radio that worked perfect. Looking at the wiring it appeared to be original to the car. Hope this helps confirm.

Thank you George:
I have only just heard of "Radiomobile" I have been collecting info that a lot of MK 10's have Blaupunkt radios similar to mine.
This info DOES indeed help. Many thanks.
Duane.

Mark 10 Radio.
Duane welcome--the J32 (Parts manual for the 3.8 l MK10) lists the following radios as original --C23203 (Mk/JA/13/920T) Long and medum wave. C23205 Medium/ Short wave (MK/JA/13?530.TB) or C3204 Medium wave only (MK/JA/13/922T0. None of these were anything other than Radiomobile. Dealers in all countries inc. the US put what they wanted at deliverty but if ordered from the factory with a radio this is what was offered. JCNA rules allow for period correct radios. Hope this Helps.

Hello David:
I haven't checked back here in a while, so I just caught your post.
I have made several decisions since my original querie.
After apparently winning a place in the OJOA Concours on June 12th, I am even more satisfied with our direction. We have decided to keep the car as original as possible and un restored. We wish to repair as needed and maintain the car but never restore it.
That means the radio stays and I will have it refurbished.
I have been inspired to this by several knowledgable folks who recomended this.
I am very happy with it.
Thanks for your thoughts here. Look for new posts in future as I am always interested in hearing from other MK 10 owners, there are so few of us.
Oh and the MK 10 is still in your signature as being in your garage, so if that is the case,
happy fiftieth to your MK 10 as well as the E-Type.
Cheers!
Duane.
