I installed a new otter switch for the fan and the fan now runs all the time. As a matter of fact, removing the wires to the otter switch and the fan still runs! I know there are 2 fan relays (2+2 with AC) but cannot locate them. Does anyone know where they are on the car? I suspect that a relay is stuck...? Thanks for your help!

Problem solved for now. Thanks to your telling me where the relay was located, I found the bugger and jiggled the wires. The fan is now off. I will be driving it this week to verify the problem was a wire. Thanks again!!

Thanks for the reply, George. I will look where you suggested. The otter switch (I believe the otter is a switch that goes into the radiator) had 2 contacts and one wire was disconnected and fan off. When I reconnected the wire the fan would go on and stay on. I assumed the switch was stuck on so I bought a new one, had it installed, and now runs all the time. I thought the new switch may be bad and stuck also so I removed both wires from that and fans still run all the time! Must be a stuck relay that I couldn't find. What is odd is that the old switch with one wire disconnected killed the fan motor and now nothing kills the fan unless I turn off the ignition!

Unless modified the two relays sit one on top of the other in front of the front frame between the water pump and the radiator. What was the reason you replaced the otter switch? Sounds like there is a ground somewhere--look carefully for an add on switch and wire that a PO has put in!
