Hello
I am from Thailand.

I have a Daimler double-six 1997.
It has a problem with the 'Traction Control', now the Trac-Fail and Anti-Lock lights show up all the time.
I had checked out all ABS sensor on wheels, all 4 are OK.
and for the Battery, I just changed it.
Could anybody recommend me how to solve this problem?

Moreover, I want to know about diagnostic tool for Jaguar and Daimler.
Which diagnostic tool can be used to identify Jaguar and Daimler problem perfectly?

Someone recommend me to use 'Ford VCM IDS'.

Thank you

benzio

Benzo why not go to the home page and JOIN JCNA as a MAL (Member-at-large). That would allow you to purchase manuals and books from JCNA at a greatly reduced rate (although shipping would be high it would have been high no matter where you bought them). You will also rec. the club's award winning magazine along with other benefits. Benzio you are more than welcome to Join the club you signed in under but I doubt we can provide a lot. Thanks for writing back.

Doug Dwyer and William Brady, highly thank you for your advises. It' s so difficult to find a Jaguar technician in my country. Therefore, I have to try fixing it by myself.

George Camp, when I registered to this website, it required me to fill out the home club so I just chose one from the list. I am sorry for the mistake. Could you recommend me how to fix it?

Benzio you have been given good advise. My question is did you make a mistake when you signed in to the forums. I do not remember you in my club (Jaguar Society of South Carolina( and I think I would. Please fix this. You can do that by either joining JCNA or correcting your log in.

One possible problem is that the circuit board of the control module is suffering from broken solder joints. The module is under the ABS unit and can be repaired by Modulemasters.com or similar companies.

Sometimes just removing and re-seating the connectors at the traction control and ABS with fix the problem.

A scan tool for the engine/fuel/emission control systems is easy to find and inexpensive. I use an Innova 3130 for basic at-home diagnostics. Google it, or Google "OBD II Scan Tool".

A diagnostic scanner to read the ABS/traction control codes ...which is what you need at the moment for your present problem....will be expensive and harder to find. You might research "Elm" diagnostic software or similar. Just make sure it'll read ABS codes before buying.

Cheers
