Now here's one for the Jaguar books :) Car has 52,000 miles. Actually, I've had this problem since I purchased it in 2000 with 19,000 miles.
Low Beam Headlights Situation: I leave on a Saturday evening for dinner. It's Summer so the headlights are not on. Leaving back home around 9-10:00PM, and it's night. Go to turn the headlights on. The parking lights go on, but the low beam headlights will NOT turn on?? I switch to the high beams, and they come on fine. Switch back to the low beam, no luck. However, if I drive for about 10 minutes with the high beams on, and switch over to the low beams, they come on!! If I repeat this process the next day, same scenerio. AND..... this only happens in the warmer Summer months. Never happens in the colder winter months?? I thought it was probably a defective relay. It checked out OK, but I replaced it anyway. No difference. Any ideas out there? Thanks, Rick.

1996 XJS - Low Beam Headlights
Check your headlight fuzes. Take them out and clean them and the contacts in the fuze box. Mine did the same thing until I did this.
Hey!! Thanks Al. Why didn't I think of that? @#$%^&* Rick.
