Does anyone know where the Voltage Stabilizer for the instruments is located in the 1982 XJ 6? It is not behind the Speedo or RPM gauge, or beind any panels that I can see, not behind the gas tank switch & interior swiches either.

I'm quite sure it was on the back of the dash and accessible through the speedo/tacho holes. But, it could also be close to the relays etc above the right side knee panel. As it feeds the oil,water, fuel gauges etc if you can trace the wires ( I think green). they will lead you to the unit.
Don't bother looking. The Ser IIIs didn't use a voltage stabilizer :-)
