I have a 1995 XJS V12 Convertible. The check engine words are on the display panel. I turn on the car without starting and after a few seconds it reads FF67.

It is my understanding that this is the Air Inject system. I disconnected the battery for 30 minutes and then reconnected it to clear the code and after a little bit of driving it came back so I am pretty sure there is an actual problem.

The car runs fine. Please advise on the best way to diagnose the problem. I have plenty of experience working on cars in general, but none on Jaguar. I did change all of the spark plugs myself with some guidance from a Jaguar expert.

Where the Air Injector or check valves are I have no idea, so guidance is needed.

Thank you.

The first thing to do is start your engine cold and watch for the Air Pump Clutch to engage. It should run for 45 secs to maybe 2 minutes, then shut off. It may stop for a few seconds to test then start again. If no clutch operation, look for the Air Injection Relay, it's the weak link, so to speak.

Cheers,
