Just completing full restoration 1960 MKII 3.8. Alas head found to be rotten & best shop in SoCal tried valiently to re weld but head is declared junk.
Will a 4.2 head match up (water passages etc)? Having real difficulty located good 3.8 head but several sellers "believe" 4.4 head would match up...if correct wouls ALL 4.2 heads work or perhaps only selected years/head numbers.
Grateful for technical advice

William I am sure he was speaking of a machine shop which possibly would not have a source.
Curt try Coventry West (one of the sponsors on here) seems like I sold them a bunch of heads and remember some 3.4/3.8 ones.

It shouldn't be too difficult to find a 3.8 head, as you referred to a shop as "best shop in So Cal" I would imagine they would be the ones to ask!

If you really can not find one, I can locate one from a 62 MkII # LC1417-8. It is a "B" head the same as yours.
