I have a 70 E-Type OTC. The gas and brake pedals are to close for my 11Ds. I know the heal/toe but the edge of my shoe hangs up on the brake pedal not allowing the gas to close. Result, over rev's when shifting fast.
Has any one modified the brake pedal to get more clearance? Does anyone make an off set?

shoes... i agree with George....i do not have a million miles in e type jaguar...yet...but have many many on a number of english sportscars. i too have size 11 and find that things goes most smoothly with "appropriate" footwear...otherwise yes issues can develop. I would be relucant to tamper with the pedal placement..this is often the slippery slope

Gerald, the photo is not of my car, although I did this same thing to mine, I just haven't yet finished the total restoration. This picture is from someone on another forum. However, In mine I didn't move the accelerator at all and it doesn't seem to interfere with anything. I still can't fit my feet comfortably if I'm wearing big shoes, like cross-trainers or running shoes, but no big problem if I wear some loafers (I wear 11.5D shoes). Small shoes is definitely the answer, or kick them off and drive barefoot. :-)

George, Richard,
Thanks for getting back so soon. I'll try the shoes. Richard I do have a question. From the picture it appears that you moved the accelerator pedal closer to the tunnel. I assume you remounted the pedal base. How much did you move it? Do you get any interference from the tunnel?

Gerald I wear 11 Es and have about 1 million miles in E types. The thinner shoe you wear the better. If you want to heel and toe purchase a set of driving shoes. I know of no one that makes offset pedals. You could remove the pedal box and pedl arms from it and play but the easiest solution is all in the shoes!
