Underneath the spare wheel, attached to the re-enforcement strips, there are two small spring clips, can anyone confirm what they held?

William, what makes you call it flimsy? The Shelley was a cast iron screw jack. But if you still have the flimsy old thing, I would be happy to purchase it from you.

The clips hold a small round bar that was the handle for the early jack.
