any suggestions on the brand of car cover to purchase? as soon as the interior is finished, and the stereo and alarm system are upgraded, i plan to repaint. we have a two car garage. my wife will never give up her side. the other side is used as a workshop (i have alot of toys).

a cheap car cover will do more damage than exposure to a new jersey winter. so, what are others using?

Andy -

I recommend that you choose a material first; then choose a manufacturer. My favorite - and I used it almost 24 hours a day in the south Texas sun - is Weathershield. I kept the car outside on the street and at the Park'n Ride lot. It is absolutely impervious to rain and folds smaller than any cover. Other covers (Evolution 3, cotton) will provide no protection from rain or other forms of moisture.

Cost when I bought it was about $240; I'm sure they're more now. It's a small car (Volvo 1800S). Expect a 2-4 year life. I had a 5 yr warranty and I used it once after 4 years..
