Hi fellow Jag owners , my 79 XJS has a odd problem that has held me up on getting it inspected for a few months now. my car is not legal so I'm still working on it in my driveway. I go to use the turn signals and when I try to use the right signal I get the left rear turn signal flashing and the right brake light flashing together . same for the opposite ( left signal )I have been guessing and it's getting expensive. ( new turn signal indicator ) right out of the box. not the problem. anyone have any ideas ? thanks Bruce

To George Camp. thanks for the suggestion as well as the cure for my Jag. I got a new flasher switch in the mail and it wasn't that so it came down to tracing the wires and found my green and red tail light wires rubbing on some metal underneath the steering wheel. put some tape on them and everything is good ! thanks again George.

I would begin by checking your 4 way flasher switch--if that proves solid then the wiring is confused somewhere with a possible grounding issue in the rear.
