When I turn the ignition key nothing happens. However, after I jiggle the gear shift (in the park position) it sometimes start. For the past several months this "jiggling" has become routine in order to start the car. Over the months, it has become harder and harder to start. Now, no amount of jiggling starts the car. What is wrong? What needs to be fixed" and how much? Thank you in advance. Jim Greene

Help!! My '95 xjs will not start!!!
James it sounds like the neutral safety switch needs adjustment. have you tried to start the car in both P and N ?
Hi, thank you. No, I haven't. But, I don't believe I can get the shift gear out of park into N. Does that make sense. Jim
