Re.: Jaguar Mechanic in Framingham, MA Area

I wanted to update and thank the forum members for their willingness to help a prospective new Jaguar owner. Upon receiving Stew's first post in response to my question last week I moved quickly. I contacted both Dean Cusano, President of Motorcars, Inc. in Plainville, CT and JANE President, Michael Kaleel. Michael connected me to Don Moore of Custom Transportation in Wakefield, MA. Arriving late to the party and finding myself in a competitive bidding situation, Don essentially dropped what he was doing and within 24 hours ran out to inspect the car, which was about an hour west of his shop. By the end of the next day I was able to submit my offer with confidence regarding the condition of the car. Over the past seven days I have worked through the negotiations and yesterday signed the bill of sale on a restored 1961 Jaguar MK II 3.8s. I can't say enough about Don Moore and his level of expertise with vintage Jaguars. But more importantly, he's willingness to go beyond the call of duty, when he had a garage full of cars waiting for him, says a lot about him as a businessman and person. When you have a fully restored Maserati A6 Zagato sitting in your garage bay, and you set that aside to help someone buy a car that costs about as much as one tire on the A6, you've got to respect that. Perhaps the owner of the A6 would differ with me on that. In the future, if you're looking for a good Jaguar mechanic and restoration garage, don't hesitate to give him a call. I'm glad I did.
