Before I take the slog out to Queens, I'd like to know if anyone knows anything about this car.

What an unfortunate colour.
As for the white one, it is obvious that it has been painted. Interesting version of a cloth interior too.

Anybody know this car?
The bonnet was the first thing that caught my eye. No telling without an on-the-rack inspection what may be lurking in that front sub frame.
All good input guys. Thanks for the observations.

Anybody know this car?
The "new blue leather interior and carpet", upon closer look, does not seem to have involved the rear seats.
First glance, I though tinted windows, second glance, look at the photo of the spare tyre....and the back of the rear seat split away at the top.
Still, for less that 20K, if solid, good buy.
Around here, anyway, deduct for 2+2 a bit, deduct auto trans a bit, bit for what they're going for, if the sills are good......

This is the available data:
"This is a fully sorted 1970 Jaguar 2+2. Opalescent blue with new blue leather interior and carpet. Over $20,000 in receipts for work done the past years from the same Jaguar mechanic's shop. Runs and drives perfectly. Just put in a new cooling fan so it will never overheat. Floors and trunk are very solid. Just purchased from long time owner. Has manuals, spare wheel. For only $19,500"
No VIN numbers, not telling you what was done for $20K other than the interior.
What would worry me is the visible rust on the vertical surfaces and rub points in the spare tyre well, without seeing what is actually under the spare.

You read the writeup on the link you provided, the old fella they bought it from has $20,000 in receipts at a Jag mechanic.
I just comment on the photos and the story printed!
Dave
(and, maybe there are numbers under the spare.....)

Don't know it.....would be nice to see what's under the spare.
Automatic, too.
Bonnet looks like it's been hit....dimples, depressions or different paint in spots above the mouth, and before the hump.
Figure on a rear bumper rechrome.
Price doesn't look bad at all. I spent some time up in that part of the country.....no rust means you won't fall through the holes, right?
$20K in receipts, selling for less than that.
Might just be a good deal!
