When I depress the rocker switch for the headlamps on my Series 2 FHC the headlamps won't come on. The side lights come on, but not the headlamps. All fuses are OK and the switches seem OK. Can someone help diagnose this problem?

Dennis, I've had two Headlight "failures' on my SII. The first was as described by George but the culprit was corrosion of the fuse holders on the fuse block which a good cleaning and application of di-electic grease cured. Put a tester on the wire connectors either side of the fuse (not the fuse itself).to check. The other was a wiring issue, bad bullet connections inside the bonnet nose. Easy enough to check by pulling the 8 pin connector by the radiator to make sure current is getting that far.

Dennis use the flash to pass option--if the lamps come on then look at your dip switch. Although the fuses look good the fuse holders can become weak after 40+years and may need replacing. Good Luck.
