Firing order
Assuming # 6 and #1 pistons are at top, CAMs are positioned with notch at top and rotor is pointing directly towards the radiator - is the wire hole on the distributor cap #1 or #6?
I am rebuilding an XK120 engine and there are no ignition wires, so I am trying to determine which hole on the distributor cap is #1 .
Once I determine #1 do I go clockwise around the cap to position the remaining wires in the firing order above?
Thanks in advance,

Firing order
Walt;
I trust that you know that #1 is in the rear of the block, and #6 is near the radiator.

Robert, #1 would be at the 10:30 position and looking down on the rotor , it goes counter clockwise rotation.
