Yes Keith, Roy's the boy - and Jeff. Sad to see the place in decline - won't be around too long I guess. Pity. Do you know him or is there something I should know?

William, be proud of the bitsa. They run just as long and strong as the 'numbers matchin' cars. So long as it's legal and you have a title for something you should be OK surely? If you have zero ID then I guess you have a problem except in no-title statesl ike Alabama?

On further examination here is the problem, The engine is a BITSA, -bits of this and bits of that- The ID plate is new & blank. The picture frame is new, No ID number, it is a long block, stamped on oil filter shelf 7R 4904-9, (Pre June 69) The car has an ignition steering lock. (Post Dec 68). The cyl head is badly damaged and has no number, so what do I have? Is the head correct, is the block correct or neither of them? I have had many replies from my post but now I'm not sure of what I need. To get an idea of the type of car this is; when I removed the sump. the lower half of the rear oil seal adaptor fell into the pan, it had never been bolted to the top half!

What's your budget and time line? Is it a long block head (multiple core plugs along the right side of the block) or short block? I'm replacing the head on my running S2 this winter so you could potentially have the one I'm using right now. Off list probably better I guess. I wouldn't normally sell but they aren't numbered and i just picked up a complete refurbished head from an old Jaguar machinist and drag racer I went to interview two days ago for a story in the Journal.
