A little help with my front headlights PLease ...

I would like to get some more lumins from in my headlights ...I believe they are HID lights ...can I just get bulbs that have a higher lumin discharge ?? also can I get more lighting on my Hi-beams ?? one last thing
can it also be done on my driving lights

First, make sure they are aimed correctly. High beams should be parallel to the ground in side view. If your adjusters are stripped, as mine were from the factory, the whole assembly can be shimmed to the car with washers to save the $600 or so for a new assembly.
Mine is a 2005 X-Type and lights are not HID, just conventional. American bulbs are 55 watt/55 watt as I recall. You can buy in the after-market 100 watt hi beam/55 watt bulbs. The risk is that they make almost twice as much heat and may damage (read melt) the expensive headlight assembly. Also, you should probably up gauge the wiring and add power relays.
How about driving lights on the luggage rack for that off-road racer look.
