Does anyone know what the original seat belt warranty was for an 1994 XJS 2+2?
I know there was a TSB that dealt with the problem of seat belts being to short and does imply a warranty repair. I also know that some cars have a lifetime warranty on seat belts. Any information would be helpful.
Thanks,
Steve

Jaguar seatbelts have always been warranted for the normal warranty period of the vehicle, with the exceptions of:

1989-1992 Sedans
1987-1989 XJS

These are the models that had the motorized shoulder belts. They are covered by a 'Limited Lifetime' warranty. However, as of a couple of years ago, they were seeking a new vendor for the motor assemblies, and there was a wait list to obtain one.

Hope that helps!

Actually a great question as the seat belt on my '90 XJS convertible seems quite short, in fact I am trying to figure out how to move the seat back further just to help the issue. Are there longer seat belts available?
