I am restoring the rear end of my 66 roadster. I am cleaning the hub carrier and will grease the bearings before installation in the hub carrier, but how much grease do I put in the carrier via the grease plug?
Thanks,
Bill

William it is a no pressure fill so make sure the end of your grease gun is very clean and pump her full. Years ago some smart guys made and sold a cap with a fitting. This was to eliminate the need for cleaning carefully to service the area. Unfortunately the pressure created during filling normally blew out the seals. If all is correct you should find that it takes many thousands of miles before any meaningful loss of grease can be detected. Good luck.
