1970-52,000 miles with 3 of the 4 original tires. Will only be driven in nice weather. Trying to keep original and am going through to up date so it can now be driven. Looked at Dunlap-185vr15-a little expensive but possible-also considering the Vredestein from XK's for $173. Will mount on original wire wheels so should stay with 15's. Will also have to get new tubes and rubber wheel liner. May try to mount myself-do have the metal bars ect., and try to get balanced. Any suggestions re: tires, balancing on original wire wheels ect.. Thanks for the help !!

James if you got 52K miles on any of the original tires that will be a record by more than 20k miles. The Dunlops were original and correct. Yes they are expensive and they wear out in 20k or so if you drive as you should but since you have 52k you will age out a decade before you wear out.
