Maybe a dumb question since I haven't even looked at my 1990 XJS, but is it possible to move the drivers side seat rails back a couple of inches? Do the the rails bolt to the floor?

Well, not really, but when I had new leather put on the seats recently the installer did get another inch back by changing the seat stop on the rail. That helped. Still searching for a bit more ;-)
