Does anyone know for sure if a Series 2 bonnet fits properly
on a Series 1.5? I know that the S1.5 eyelashes are
different from the S2 and suspect that they just built an
eyelash to fit the S1 bonnet but I have someone interested
in the S2 bonnet I have, but he has an S1.5.

Yes the bonnet will fit & so will a series 3. Like any used bonnet on an E-type, it was fit to the car it was originally installed on. The back edge was long from the factory and trimmed to fit the car. You may have to play with shims or shorten the leading edge of the sill, depending on the car. The park lights are below the bumper but will wire up the same. You will also have side marker lights or reflectors, depending on the year of the series 2 bonnet. It was a common problem when a series 1.5 was hit in the front. Not many used 1.5 bonnets out there. Good luck.
