I have a 2003XKR and the hood liner is rubbing on hose and plenum.
Where can I buy a replacement liner. Preferably thinner than the original

Hood liner
Leon,
For some strange reason (I suspect pressure washing during a detail job) my hood liner on my 05 XJ8L came apart--as if rotting.
Searching the web produced replacements, but the cost ranged from very high to higher until I came accross an advertiser on JCNA--SNG BARRATT--contact: www.SNGBARRATT.com. It's best to call, because the item has a different name---like "Bonnet Insulator", or something simular.
Good price and satisfactory shipping. They come in a flat carboard box about 4 x 5Ft.
When I received mine, I was disappointed, thinking it was just a blank cut out and that I would have to do much trimming to make it fit. However, when a friend and I held it up to the hood to mark for trimming, it just fell in place perfectly. Was a newer design, and fit much better with less trouble then the orginal one.
Hope that helps.
Chuck
Thanks Chuck. I will follow up with SNG
