Re: recommend a NJ mechanic?
: Can anyone recommend a mechanic in the Princeton area? (There seems to
: be a shop on Rte 1 that specializes in Jaguars, down the street from
: the dealer. Does anyone know who I'm talking about/had any experience
: with them?)
: Thanks!
It would be helpful if you let us know which model Jaguar you have that needs servicing.
: Sorry -- I have a 1993 XJ6 (which the jag-lovers group calls an XJ40).
: It has a lot of miles on it. I'd be interested in your opinions on
: both a mechanic, and a good body shop (it needs a door replaced).
: Thanks!

Try Dan Kruze, Coventry Import Auto, Bridgewater, NJ (908-526-4401). He's a member of JTC and a really great guy, excellent mechanic. Not too far from you, just west of Somerville, not far off Rt. 206 near the Somerville Circle. He owns Jaguars himself and built a replica D-type. He and wife Judy drove their '86 XJS on our trip to Montreal/Quebec this summer (see trip article on club news on this website). He recently did some work on my '89 XJS, including a water pump, did nice work at a fair price.
