i just bought a 99 silver xjr, black interior, its awesome, nothing but compliments, very smooth and comfortable ride, and unbelievably powerful

had one problem the day i bought it, the gas gauge wasnt working, so it died on a back road, luckily its still under warranty

now that i need the garage space, anyone want to buy an 88 mazda rx7 convertible with only 55000 miles?

If what you mean by "wishbone" is control arm bushings - yes I've been told they tend to need attention more often than otherwise anticipated. Every 25-30K or so? With the costs of tires at 225 per, its a good idea to have this component monitored and checked at regularly scheduled maintainance. Mine are being replaced next week under warranty. As far as the EGR pipe - mine was just brought in to Jaguar for 20K (a little late) scheduled service. They replaced the egr pipe which was advertised in a TSB. I've had my XJR for a month know and can attest that it is an ownership expereince like no other. My warranty runs out at the end of this month. I will be committing to an after market warranty within a day or two. I am leaning towards Warranty Direct. Anyone have feedback on the subject?

in an earlier post, you had indicated what the common problems were for xjr's and thankfully, the car is still under warranty, and any problems with the front wishbone bushings(?), egr pipe, and one other thing will be fixed

thanks

It's too late to warn you... the 370hp / 390lbft are totally addictive... they should put a warning on these things :-)... after all there are warning on cigarettes...

Mine's black... ( my wife's actually... ) with black interior. fun too drive...

Very few issues, keep an eye for problem with the Tstat and water pump, done under warranty, and EGR Valve/pipe. Front suspension bushings tent to wear out, but cant' complain about that on a car that begs to be pushed... :-)
