Well, I'm happy I found this site. I've always loved Jaguars and took the plunge on one this weekend. A 1995 XJS V-12, green with tan interior, 24,000 miles. I'm really looking forward to owning it, finding out more about JCNA, finding a good, reliable shop, and anything else that comes with owning one. Anyway, several people have already told me what a fool I am, that the car will be in the shop more than the driveway and it will cost me a fortune. Hopefully, somebody here will set me straight. I love the car and am looking forward (hoping) to many years of enjoyment.

David,
I just talked to Navtech who did the CD's for the S-type and they have a new set of CD's for the S-Type. The cost is outrageous, $200 for the first CD and $168 for each additional, but they are updated.

I'm not sure the XJ or XK or X-Type are all the same though. But you could give them a call and see. 888-628-6277

Regards,
Jeff

Apparently the software for the GPS was created in 1999. The street guide is therefore outdated. My dealer says their has been no update. Is this correct? It seems unreasonable they are selling new cars with a 1999 street guide
