Hello,
I am new to the forum and need help from e-type experts!
I have been looking for a 67-74 e-type ots to buy but find myself confused over what is out there to purchase.
I would be deeply appreciative if some one could "mentor" me to a fine example car or even perhaps point me in a direction to someone you know would want to find a new caring home for their e-type?
I went to the car show in Palo Alto in September and actually spotted a very nice 74 (i think) BRG/TAN e-type belonging to a mr Gridley - it is something like Mr Gridleys car I am looking for.

All help is very appreciated, and when with car I can hopefully join a club!

Looking For My Dream Car - "XKE Roadster"

Don't despair.
You will find your "Dream Car". I listed an advert in the Classifieds section of this website, and found ours within days of listing!!!!

There is quite a difference in what you are looking for, as far as cost and style.

Jonas:

I see that you are seeking a good E-type. I have one and am thinking of selling but it is very hard after looking after it for almost twenty years.

Mine is a 1970 Series II 4.2 FHC LHD.

Except for a respray it is original and has been stored most of it's life -- presently in England.

Let me know if you are interested.

Regards,
John Webster

Jonas,

What you should do is join the local JCNA club now! In so doing, you will meet other Jaguar enthusiasts who will be happy to have you look at their cars, fill you in on the fine points of the different Jaguar models, and act as the vade mecum you seek. Go to the "Join a Club" link on the JCNA home page and find the one closest to you. I think you can even join right through a link on the page! This is what I did this when I decided to become a Jaguar owner, and it was a good move.
