I was just looking at the standings for C16 and noticed the following:

----> C16 Dennis & Carolyn Eynon SW02-24422 1953 XK120 Black 99.920 NC13 on 2003-08-09

----> C16 Dennis & Carolyn Eynon SW02-24422 53 XK 120M Coupe Black 99.920 SW04 on 2003-10-05

----> C16 Dennis & Carolyn Eynon SW02-24422 59 D-type 99.990 SW01 on 2003-10-25

Two shows with a 120 and one with a D type averaged for a total of 99.94333. This is probably just a transcription error but I thought I would bring it to the attention of whomever is responsible for posting the results on the JCNA web site.

Best Regards, John

absolutely none.

We, (Bill, Mike Cook and I), are the ones paying the price because it leaves us very little time to review scores before publication.

there is little that can be done since it's not the club who will be penalized but the members who entered the events. I guess that if resutls are not received by publication time, these events will be excluded...

Since by requesting sanction, clubs agree to follow the competition rules, if they do not comply with the 3 week deadline, their event could automatically be excluded.

and it's not like we're not trying to help... we've gone the extra mile be even accepting handwritten faxed results (do you know how fun that is to enter?)

It's like JCNA nrs... right now, almost 200 JCNA nrs have not been provided. Deducting the number of event membership received by Nelson, we have to assume that a little over 160 legintimate JCNA members have not been provided. These members will not be included in the final standings unless we look them up. This is time consuming and again it is not our job. the rules are clear, entrants must supply their numbers... I've looked up quite a few already but won't have time to do it if we don't get all the missing results VERY soon.

end of rant :-)

Pascal and Bill,

What is the penalty to the club of non-compliance? In other words, what incentive do thye have to modify their behavior?

Thks John!

when a member enters different cars in the same class, we need to add soemthing to the JCNA nr (usually the car's year) to differentiate. it is a very rare occurence (less than 5 cases a year) so we do it manually... if they enter different cars in different classes, no problem.

I'll fix that one.

but this is why it's important to get the scores in early, the sooner we have them in , the sooner we can spot these things.

We are down to 11 days to the Journal deadline for publication and 6 shows are still missing including 3 that are way beyond the 3 weeks deadline.

Sept 6t, Wasatch Mountain
Sept 21st Nation's Capitol
Oct 11th, Austin

I just don't understand why despite previous requests these clubs have failed to send in their scores. I don't know what Bill will decide if these scores dont' come in by the time results have to be turned in for publication on dec 1st, it would be really unfair to their entrants to miss out on awards...

Also missing, although not yet overdue, Houston, Phoenix and South Florida.
