If I want to keep my 86' "pure" is it ok to tint the windows.

I would like to help keep the sun off of the interior to help it last longer.

There are no degrees of pure. Jaguar cars come with tinted glass but it is not easily discernable. If, as I suspect you want to do, is to darken the glass to the degree that it is noticeable and the interior cannot be seen then I suggest that you accept the notion that in proceeding, the car cannot be seen as pure. After that, in my opinion, before you proceed, you should decide if the tinting will enhance to asthetics or appearance of the car. I believe it can go either way depending on the colour of the vehicle. I appreciate your wanting to keep the sun off of the leather and maybe keeping the interior temperature down during the heat of summer. Try parking in the shade when you can. My I also suggest a product called Leatherique to maintain your leather. I hope this helps, Bob

btw: my glass is tinted in dark, I found a film color that matches the color of the car! These cars have a lot of glass area to begin with,
and ultraviolet radiation is bad for people, so I'm protected and it looks awesome. It's a matter of taste, some like it some don't, I do.

what do you mean 'is it ok?" Of course it is, unless the car belongs to someone else! I tried to send you the XJ Production
Numbers but the attachment is too big for your mailbox.
