Thank you for looking to assist.. I have an '84 XJ6 that I have yet to drive more than a few miles. At first, after 1-2 miles the car would act as though it was running out gas and eventually stall. After some time, I could restart and nurse it back home. I stored it over the winter, tried to start to move out of storage - but only turned over, no firing, not even a putt. I had it towed to my home, checked spark, and gas pressure to the fuel rail, and wala - it started. Ran for about 4 minutes and stalled. Now it will not start again. I have checked compresson - about 90+, gas pressure at the rail - about 50 psi, spark out of the coil is strong, and to the plugs is strong, changed plugs, pulled an ejector - sprays lots of gas- yet it won't even try to fire up. I am completely baffled. Has anyone out there had and solved a similar problem like this? Any suggestions? Would the fact that my oxygen sensor light "Light" illuminating when cranking it over be indicating anything - or is that a normal light to see on while cranking it over? I don't know what else to check. Gas, spark, and compresson. Please help with suggestions

Great suggestions from the two gentlemen before me. DEFINATELY drain the tanks. That's pretty easy as the plugs are on the bottom of each tank. I had to remove the whole sheet metal piece (on each side) in order to access the fuel tank drains because I could not move the round plastic "plug" is trapped between the bottom of the fuel tank and the sheet metal with a piece of foam.

The oxygen sensor light is supposed to light when you crank the engine over. This indicates that the circuit is working properly.

The compressions should be much higher, 130 to 150, The fuel pressure should be lower about 35. When the engine refuses to start you have to check the spark and fuel supply again. If the engine has fuel, a spark at the correct time and compression it has to start! Check the fuel filter is not blocked
