I have a low mileage (35,000) 94 XJS convertable that the rear windows will not raise.
Last year the drivers side would work intermittently, then quit completly.
A day or so later the passenger side quit.
I have the wiring diagram that shows thermal fuses but I can't locate them.
Can somonene please tell me where to start.
Thank you

This worked for me on my æ92: First, if you can, lower the rear window about half way. Next, remove the covering panel below the window. The window motor has a black cover over the motor assembly; it may have fallen off already. If not, remove the cover. At the top of the worm gear there is an adjusting screw. (Space is very limited. YouÆll need a very small offset screwdriver; I used a rachet style screwdriver.) Tighten the screw while you manually move the window up & down until most of the slack is gone. After youÆre done lower the top all the way down, then raise the top. Good luck.
(I've attached a poor foto, note the red arrow, but it may help.)
