I recently changed the spark plug wires and now the engine is missing. I think I may have two ignition wires crossed. I am looking for a spark plug wiring diagram for an 89XJS with the V12 engine.

Check the firing order. It's in the manual and should also be somewhere under the bonnet (don't remember where). Then just check the wires starting at 1A (which is marked on the distributor cap) and work counter- clockwise.
