To all N.E. region JCNA members:

The JCNA is run by a board of directors, new members of which are elected each year. Due to term limits, I am unable to run for the 2005 - 2007 term, and am looking for a willing volunteer to fill this interesting and important position. Steve Weinstein, JTC, has another year as NERD before running for his reelection.

Since it's too late to be part of the election process, the ballots for which are in the Sept/Oct issue of the Journal, President Bill Streitenberger will announce an appointment in January, at the time the elected winners are announced. Volunteers should make their interest and qualifications known directly to him, ASAP.

Bill Streitenberger
1724 Dalton Rd.
Palos Verdes Estates, CA 90274

Meanwhile, I will remain as a JCNA director as long as I am the immediate past president

You can take a look at the JCNA by-laws (available on the website in the Library). That's a good place to start.

As far as participating in JCNA governance, being a Board member is a good way to get there, but there are a lot of other things that need to be done to keep JCNA running and to move it forward. There are only two directors per Region, but there are dozens of committees that need volunteers. If you're interested in getting involved, let us know. I'm sure there are areas of interest to you that we could benefit from your expertise. For example, I became involved with the slalom committee long before I became a director, and have been slalom committee chair for several years.

Look forward to working with you.

Steve Weinstein, JTC-NJ
Northeast Regional Director
JCNA Slalom Committee Chairman

Hmmm...
I did not realize that residential location was part of the requirement.
Now that I look at the region map, hmmm, I am in the North Central Region.
Darn; and I was becoming interested in being NERD. LOL :BIG GRIN:
On a serious note:
Where would I find an outline of club officer duties?
Just curious, as I don't recall seeing this information.
Thank you.
