Hello,
It has long been a dream of mine to own an XJ6C, and now I think I'm ready to buy one, however I wonder if you could tell me where the problem areas are. My uncle a MKII owner told me that the model was phased out due to build quality issues, and there can be difficulties with Stromberg carbs particularly re diaphragms. The model I would like to buy is a 75 with 86k original miles.
I want to have a check out done, is there anything I should have looked at particularly, any specific rust problems or parts availability problems.
Thanks
HC

Don't worry about the carbs and anything to do with the engine. WORRY about RUST, RUST, RUST. These cars had rust problems. The normal ones you see in the XJ-6 car, plus their own.
