I recently had the opportunity to operate a Jaguar convertable. What a great experience! Well now of course I am very interested in purchasing one but I dont know anything about the vehicles. I was wondering if anyone has any words of wisdom when purchasing a used convertable. I am looking for a 2000, 2001, 2002 or 2003 with less than 45,000 miles. My questions are as follows:
1) Did one year have great maintence issues than another?

2) Is there a year I should stay away from?

3) What are the major things I should look at when looking at used Jaguars?

4) Do you recommend one year more than another and why?

I appreciate any and all comments. What a great vehicle!
Thank you.
Bill

Bill,

2001 and up is your best bet. From 2001 and onward, Jaguars in general have become more reliable and enjoyable to own. If you are going to buy a used one, get a Select Edition (Certified) Jaguar. You will have peace of mind that if anything does happen you will be protected, your routine maintenance will be included as well.
