I take it you checked the spare tire compartment where all the fuel components and the fuel filter live? there are two Venting holes located on the rear floor of the spare tire compartment, check they are not obstructed. Run the engine and observe all the connections with a flashlight, (do not use a Light Bulb in that area, see below). even a tiny gasoline drop can create a strong odor inside that compartment. If everything is dry, then you might have a leaking gas tank or connection to it. look under each tank every morning for any sign of leakage. see photo. If no leaks, remove each rear Lights Assembly and check that the fuel gauge Sender Unit is tight at the rear of each tank. (a round, flat "washer"-looking cover with two wires connected to it. To tighten them, you will need a Brass punch and a small hammer or tool, they are tightened in a clockwise rotation. WARNINGS: do not use any steel tool that might create a spark or the tank could explode. You must also disconnect the Battery while doing this procedure. If you are not familiar with doing this type of work, have it done by someone who is. You are working around gasoline Vapors and the slightest spark could ignite them. Incandescent light Bulbs and invisible gasoline vapors are very dangerous.
