I reside in Boca Raton, FL - compressor needs replacement - was given a price of $ 950 - 8 hrs of labor is req'd - the dash has to be pulled - does this seem reasonable ?

removing the dash to get to the compressor?? are you sure it's teh compressor not teh evaporator?
since you're in boca, call Jaguar Doctor (561 362 7464), he's very good and reasonable... I take my car to him for service all the way from miami... they're off 20th street just w of US1
