Soldier Ric: radio fuses (with an "S" because there are 2, one for constant power for memory, and one for ignition power) can be found behind the driver's side, right knee, air vent panel. To remove panel, remove two phillips screws holding the black plastic vent over the panel, then pull the panel towards the front of the car and off it's two front spring brackets.

to my knowledge there is no such model as a Limited Edition in the XJ-6. The models are: XJ-6 or 12, Vanden Plas trimmed XJ-6, and Sovereign trimmed XJ-6. It may have been recovered with velour. In Europe they have vinyl upholstery versions of the XJ-6. But no big deal, the US cars are all vinyl too, (they call it "Ambla"), except for the seat and back tops which are leather. The headrests are leather too.

I have e-mailed original XJ-6 and XJ-S Radio Installation and Wiring instructions to a number of people here, those came with my car which is a 1984 but the instructions make references to 1983. In case you need them, just ask. I have the original 1984 stereo-cassette still in use, those are almost bullet-proof, and easily repairable. They also have a lot of power, Bass, and high-fidelity sound which you will not get with a modern neon-
frenzied CD stereo, no matter the brand. But if you must have a CD, then
replace the original, the wiring should be the same.
