Ok, how many of you have named your cars? I see nearly everyone calling their cars cat or kitty, but who has actual names, and what are they?

Who has personalized plates? What are they?

We recently dubbed our 2000 S Type 4.0

FVR8 CAT

We have two house cats, and believe me the Jaguar is definitely our favorite cat, no question about it.

Best wishes,

Jeff

My 92 Series III V-12 is referred too simply as the Black Cherry and my vanity plates say "BOBS JAG". I find it nice when people call out to me, nice Jag bob.

A small boy once said "What a beast" when the care drove by which was very cute. So the car now is called the Beast with a little irony.

The Beast's personalized plate is not very exciting: "90 XJS"

The XJ12 is the "big Jag" or "XJ12", the XJS is the "convertible".

We never name our cars.

I wouldn't mind some vanity plates however, maybe DANZV12 for the XJ and KATSXJS for the XJS. ( wife's nickname is Kat ). But I still wouldn't have names for them. I definitely would not give them some British sounding persons name, but a lot of Jag people do indeed do just that. Whatever floats your boat!

My pale primrose '72 E-type 2+2 was called "Mellow Yellow." Before that, my '89 XJS Coupe, BRG, was called "The Mean Green Machine." Both of those are gone. No names yet for the E's or the Ferrari. But for the first time, I did get a vanity plate. It's on the '69 -- "MY69E". Not very original, but that's the one that the NJDMV approved. For some reason, they did seem to like "FN69" or "LETS69". Don't know why. Only 3 choices allowed, and "MY69E" won. LOL Oh well.
