'88 XJSC brakes fade after about 20 miles of driving, especially in hot weather. This will happen after highway or parkway driving when brakes haven't been used much. Have bled and replaced brake fluid.

Re.: XJS Brakes fade
'88 XJSC
The brake pedal almost goes to the floor. I have felt all wheels which don't feel overheated - all the same warm temp. I don't smell anything unusual such as brake pad dragging.

Define "fade". Do you mean the pedal goes soft? Or do you mean that the pedal is still hard....but you think you're gonna bend it before you get any stopping power?
Since you have fresh fluid that eliminates the idea of old, crummy fluid boiling. If the pedal goes soft I would suspect a master cylinder.
If its a case where you think you're gonna bend the pedal before you stop the car, then I'd suspect overheated pads.....possibly from excessive dragging due to sticky caliper(s)
Actually, even fresh fluid could boil if there was enough heat. Any burning odors?

Sounds like the master cylinder.
