PAINT COLOR NUMBERS
I would advise caution when using XKE Data for a ref. There are more than a few cars mislabeled for color and many have been repainted in a color "close" to the labeled color but a few shades off. PPG library is the best source. George Camp

If you look on XKE Data, you will see the different colours.

Sable is brown---I think you might have Willow Green. It is a light green with a slight yellow tint. George Camp

Forum-the color is between sable and green sand. A light sable
or a dark green sand.

YOU CAN'T. Now tell the forum generally what color it is and we cantell you what color it was with a paint code. Jaguar did not offer cars in many colors and never put a code on vintage cars. George Camp

It would seem to me, that if he cannot tell us what the colour of his car is, then XKE DATA is the best place to check out all the colours and see what colour his car is.
XKE DATA does not give you the colour numbers.
JMHO of course.
