I bought a 1974 original unrestored XJS v-12, auto, power windows, moon roof (pop up) alloys. How rare are these cars? Car runs and drives and have some work to do (minor rust around the trunk lid) but interior is extremely clean. Car is tight and am deciding whether to hang onto it or sale it. I am a chevy man (don't be too hard on me) and this car needs some TLC but is a survivor and is original unrestored. What do I need to look out for with the motor (for instance weak head gaskets etc..). Feel free to respond by email. Thanks in advance.

A Picture and a VIN number would help alot.
My 1990 XJ-S has a GM transmission so Chevy okay by me.

I would advise selling it to a jaguar lover as soon as possible and take what you can get, as its an unknown older jag with a few problems,,might nee a valve job who knows..good luck,,peter truesdale hanoverpa.

No such thing as a 1974 XJ-S.

If it were a 1976 XJ-S, then given what you describe it might be worth 3 figures.
