Snoop around the filter and the bypass hose, make sure they are tight and that the bypass hose isn't cracked. NEWS FLASH, They all leak, no matter what anyone says , they all leak, your design is over 50 years old. You leak more than the car. A joke.
Anywho, I replaced the canister to the spin on adapter 25 years ago, WHAT A PLEASURE. Every vendor on this forum has it. You would use an 1990s xj6 jag filter or the equivalent.
Check all the pan bolts, valve cover bolts and all the bypass lines as well.
Your not over filling, past 9 quarts U.S . I hope.
Also 20/50 is the only way is you never rebuilt the motor. If you haven't and have been putting 10/30 or so, it will leak , leak ,leak. just watched an old etype video from 1967, and they repeat over and over, check your fluids every week. Different times.
Good Luck
