My interior heater fan cuts out after a few seconds. Any ideas?
I went to the great expense of replacing the fan and blower wheel (which cost me a small fortune!) and the same thing happens!! (argh.)
Many thanks.

My '74 XKE uses a wire-wound resistor with taps to control blower speed. When the taps get rusty, the motor gets intermittent. The resistor is a ceramic device and very obviously placed where it gets airflow to cool. Perhaps this same config is used in your Jag?

How about the fuse? They sometimes have oxidation that causes poor contact. Do other sytems, on the same fuse, go out at the same time? If so, clean the fuse holder contact surface and install a new fuse. If the fuse is OK perhaps the rocker switch is faulty or has oxidation on the contacts.
i tried the resistor/ Next up is to try the switch and fuse - thanks for your tips. 1967 XKE Series 1 4.2 Roadster
