I recently noticed that my gas pedal was getting harder to press down and seemed to bind about mid throttle even though with pressure, you could push it further. I checked the cable and return springs but all worked fine. Finally, I stuck my head under the dash and inspected the pedal itself. Imagine my supprise when I found that the rubber gas pedal cover/pad had slid half way down the face of the pedal and was catching on the floor carpet restricting full throttle!! I glued it back into place and, PRESTO, no more problems. As a bonus, now the car goes faster! Check yours, you may find horsepower you didn't know you had.
Take Care,
Garland

Hi Garland,
I had a problem with mine too, it got stuck under the floor mat and held the throttle wide open, these cars need lots of gas to get em going. I put the rubber back in place and installed a metal screw to keep it in place. JCNA sallom course does require you back off a bit for the corners. Perhaps you need to try this fun event if you never have,
