Hello, fellow owners. I have a 1970 S2 OTS and I've noticed that some of the ancillary gauges (oil pres, temp, etc.) have developed what sort of/kind of looks like condensation or some form of moisture haze on the inside of the glass. The car is in a dry, occasionally dehumidified garage and gets run up every 3 weeks or so. It's a two owner car with mostly original interior and has not be apart so I'm scratching my head a bit.

Questions:

1) As anyone else experienced this?
2) Can you take the gauges out and clean the glass easily?

Easy fix, mine does the same as well and a 1970. Run the car and TURN ON the lights, it will burn the moisture out, You must be in some sort of humid condition, Im on long island and when the seasons change it always happens. So try what I said, its easy and works.
Good luck.

The easy fix to try first; take a hair drier and blow hot air on the glass for a minute or so and most of the time the fog will go away. This won't hurt anything and might clear the guage up without any other fuss. lot easer than pulling the guage, which you might have to do if this won't work. This method works with old foged wrist watchs I've found.............Don Hilston
